Come Home to Woodmoor

Located  in Monument in the Tri-Lakes area just east of I-25, the cozy unincorporated community of Woodmoor covers approximately 6.4 square miles.  Getting away from the city, residents come home to rustic pines and winding, hilly, paved roads.  The area was initially developed in the early 1960s.  However, in the early 1990s Woodmoor had an influx of new residents relocating from other states. Although there are few remaining vacant lots there are often lovely homes that come on the market for one reason or another.

Beautiful Common Areas for Recreational Activities

You will appreciate Woodmoor's common areas and ponds.  These are open to all Woodmoor residents and their guests.  It's not unusual in the winter time to see children sledding down the hills in several of the common areas.  Furthermore, you can meander your way through Woodmoor and enjoy seeing deer, bunny rabbits, and squirrels.  Occasionally one may spot a bobcat, bear and/or raccoon. Many residents are out regularly walking their dogs and enjoying their neighborhood. And yes, residents may fish for trout and carp in the ponds until they are gone for the season!

The Country Club at Woodmoor is a membership club that offers family recreation including golf, tennis, aquatics and dining. The long-standing homeowner’s association, the Woodmoor Improvement Association, maintains the common areas.  Also, it provides safety protection by Woodmoor Pubic Safety, a major plus for residents, and the usual covenant enforcement for modest annual dues.

Privacy with Great Convenience

The wooded, mostly half-acre lot sizes afford Woodmoor residents a sense of privacy without living too far away from “town”.   Many Woodmoor residents enjoy stunning Front Range and Pikes Peak views.  The Town of Monument provides excellent restaurants and shopping.  And, small business owners thrive in this community.

Woodmoor's Historical Community Center

This classic community has retained some of the original flavor as “The Barn” has been in the same location for almost 100 years, according the Though it burned down in the early 1940s it was rebuilt and served as a local dairy barn for many years. Currently it serves the residents as the Community Center and is available for parties, weddings, meetings and church services.
