Palmer Lake, A Culture All It's Own

Founded by General Palmer in 1871, Palmer Lake and is one of the communities in the Tri-Lakes region. Nestled in the foothills of the Pike National Forest, Palmer Lake is quite extraordinary to both residents and visitors alike.

The Lake of Palmer Lake

Centered around the lake itself this gem of a town is part of the region’s Santa Fe Trail system. The lake offers fishing and kayaking.  And on occasion, you can enjoy hearing the distant horn of the train that slowly passes through the town.

A Community For All

Sporting a community baseball diamond, there is also a disc golf course. The forest offers wonderful hiking opportunities to recreational aficionados with the trailhead to the Palmer Lake Reservoirs and beyond.  Furthermore, you can enjoy picnicking at its best!

The town features appealing restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, an art gallery and an ice cream store.

In addition to all of the above, a Farmers' Market is held every Saturday during the summer months. Also, business owners host what is called Art Hop.  Palmer Lake residents laud the arts and there are many artists living in the community. And noteworthy, is the hosting of community gatherings at the town park for concerts on Friday evenings.

Palmer Lakes offers a variety of quaint and unique homes from log cabins to more recently built homes.  Many homes are built in the foothills amongst the beautiful Ponderosa pine trees. And you can't miss some newer homes perched over the lake itself taking in the majestic beauty of the towering mountains and the forest to the west.
